Safety routines

• Arrival and dismissal

  A teacher greets each student at the door in the morning and walks each student to the right car or bus in the afternoon. Only the adults on a family's pickup list may collect a student.

• Visitors

  Every visitor signs in at the office and wears a badge. Parents who help in a classroom sign in the same way.

• Drills

  We practice fire and tornado drills on a calendar the head of school keeps, and we tell students about each drill beforehand.

• Allergies

  Tell us about allergies at your visit; we ask privately once you enroll. Each teacher keeps the plan for the students in the room.

• Illness

  A student who is unwell stays home until the next morning, and a teacher calls a parent when a student is unwell at school.
